De Vancouver

For the next three months I am in Vancouver, as a visiting scholar of the University of British Columbia.

Here I will be working with a great team of statisticians: Arnaud Doucet is an associate professor here, and an expert on Sequential Monte Carlo methods – the main topic of my PhD thesis. I’ve already met some of his colleagues during the Valencia Meeting in June, including Julien and Luke. Hence I’m very much looking forward to working here and enjoy this beautiful city, surrounded by mountains and seas!
